South Eastern & Metropolitan
Innovation Week 2026

"Innovation as a Catalyst for Sustainable Communities: Leveraging Green and Creative Economies, AI, and Technology"

  November 16–20, 2026
  Kajiado | Nairobi | Machakos | Makueni | Kitui

The South Eastern & Metropolitan (SEM) Innovation Week 2026 is a regional innovation platform under the Association of Countrywide Innovation Hubs (ACIH), and a strategic scaling platform designed to catalyze sustainable development across Kajiado, Machakos, Makueni, Kitui, and Nairobi.

The event brings together innovators, entrepreneurs, policymakers, academia, development partners, and private sector stakeholders to showcase and advance sustainable innovations that address local community challenges and strengthen regional innovation ecosystems. It also spotlights community-led innovations advancing Kenya's Vision 2030 and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The initiative transforms the South Eastern and Metropolitan region into a high-growth hub by bridging the gap between grassroots innovators and global markets. By aligning regional talent with Kenya's Vision 2030 and the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), the week moves beyond a traditional showcase to build a resilient, technology-driven ecosystem for green and creative economies.
