Digital Talents Placements Associate

Our dynamic team is looking for an experienced, qualified Digital Talents Placements Associate to join our Nairobi team. Within the frame of our Digital Incubation Program, we are seeking to recruit a Digital Talents Placements Associate to facilitate the  transition and placement  components of the program. The program is implemented jointly by EmpServe Kenya & W4.

Empower and Serve Kenya ( EmpServe) is a non profit organisation that is committed to empowering young people from grassroot communities by empowering them with digital skills . To optimize opportunities in the digital economy and address the challenges of unemployment for youth; we have implemented a Digital Incubation ( DI) program . The program targeting youth aged 16-35 from  informal settlements  in Nairobi and Kajiado has facilitated over 450 youth. However, we recognize the need to link  these youth to relevant digital opportunities to sustain livelihoods and generate income.

We are looking for a motivated, experienced Digital Talents Placements Associate  who is a strong team  player.  The ideal candidate must :

  • Demonstrate at least (3) years of relevant experience in digital job placement, recruiting or human resources with a keen focus on youth workers.
  • Show a strong understanding of of digital skills including web development, social media management, digital marketing, data analysis etc.
  • Demonstrate Collaboration, initiate and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Be passionate about youth empowerment and committed to creating positive social impact.
  • Be proficient in English and Kiswahili.
  • Be able to work independently as well as in a team setting.
Successful candidate will undertake below tasks among others; 
  • Evaluate EmpServe Digital Incubation program and identify gaps.
  • Identify relevant digital opportunities, online gigs and platforms for the program graduates.
  • Evaluate the market and report on alignment opportunities for the program.
  • Develop a coaching and mentorship plan  for program participants.
  • Coordinate with EmpServe Team  to ensure training programs  are aligned with market needs.
