A Tipping Point: Investing in Youth to Shape a Resilient Future

Over 75% of Kenya’s population is under 35, yet millions remain unemployed, underemployed, or excluded from meaningful economic participation. Skilled but not hired. Trained but not connected. Innovative but unsupported. The gap isn’t in talent. It is in opportunity.

At the same time, communities are increasingly vulnerable to climate shocks, resource depletion, and economic stagnation. Meanwhile, billions of shillings are spent each year on fragmented development efforts that are often top-down, temporary, and detached from local ownership. Without long-term, youth-led, and community-driven solutions, these efforts fail to generate lasting change.

Kenya is at a tipping point. With the right investment, we can turn this moment into a movement—one where youth lead the way in regenerating livelihoods, restoring land, and reshaping local economies.
EmpServe exists to seize this opportunity.
We empower youth to gain skills, build enterprises, connect to markets, and revive their communities—laying the groundwork for a more inclusive, sustainable, and resilient future for all.

Voices from our Community

Through EmpServe, I gained skills in community engagement and data entry that opened the door to my current role as a Data Assistant in an NGO. These skills have not only boosted my career but also strengthened my ability to make a real difference where I live.
