When young women are equipped with the right guidance and soft skills, their potential becomes limitless. This vision has been brought to life through the EQUALS Her Digital Skills e-Mentorship Programme under the Equals Global Partnership in partnership with Women WorldWide Web, which continues to transform the lives of girls and young women in Kenya and beyond.
In the May 2025 cycle, Kenya recorded the largest group of participants, with 25 mentees from Empower and Serve Kenya taking part in the 8-week mentorship journey. Each of them was paired with a professional mentor from the global tech and mobile industry creating a unique space for learning, personal growth and empowerment.
A Journey of Growth and Self-Discovery
For many Kenyan mentees, the programme was their first time engaging one-on-one with industry professionals who not only shared knowledge but also listened, encouraged, and walked alongside them.
One mentee shared:
“What I enjoyed most about the e-mentoring program was the deep, personal connection I developed with my mentor. The honest conversations and encouragement gave me a safe space to grow. It felt empowering, inspiring, and truly life-changing!”
